Overview
The Copywriter is responsible for the creation and development of original ad ideas and themes for various clients of the agency, as well as proofreading and formatting preexisting copy provided by the client’s creative teams. Creativity, determination, and organization are integral to this role, as the Copywriter must also ensure that all copy is delivered to the proper talents and representatives in accordance to their creative deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Craft podcast, radio and YouTube copy as creative lead for a variety of accounts while staying consistent with client’s brand voice and messaging
- Revise and restructure copy as needed, often against tight traffic deadlines
- Communicate with account strategists, analysts, and media buyers daily for urgent account needs, providing a more in-depth creative analysis on weekly internal calls
- Communicate with the client as necessary, beginning with a dedicated creative kickoff meeting, in order to establish creative needs and wants
- Craft and present creative concepts for prospective clients or new accounts
- Manage copy schedules for all Ad Results Media clients, as well as contracted talents and their representatives
- Juggle multiple projects at one time and with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines
- Traffic all copy to the proper talent and talent representative
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English/Journalism, or related field
- 1 year of professional experience or Internship in a relatable field (Media knowledge a plus)
- Proven portfolio preferred
- Strong desire to learn industry best practices and trends
- Excellent grammar and language skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must; you will be communicating with many different teams and clients
- Knowledge of media production and communication
- Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques across a wide array of products and services
- Proficient in administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing, transcription, and managing files and records
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Google applications
- Excellent follow-through
- Works well under pressure as weekly responsibilities are time sensitive
- Able to work autonomously or collectively in a high-pressure environment
- Highly organized and able to multitask and pivot quickly based on organization needs
