Junior Graphic Designer

OVERVIEW

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. You'll be a key player in visually communicating our stories and ensuring our agency and our clients shine across all platforms. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced agency environment and flex your design skills across a variety of media.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Deliverables:

  • Design compelling presentations and client decks that effectively communicate campaign strategies and results.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop innovative visual concepts.
  • Ensure all client deliverables meet brand guidelines and quality standards.

Agency Branding:

  • Maintain and evolve the agency's brand identity across all touchpoints.
  • Design marketing materials such as one-pagers, newsletters, pitch decks, and proposals.
  • Contribute to the visual design of the agency's website and social media presence.
  • Create visual assets for agency initiatives, including social media graphics, web banners, display ads, and infographics. Ability to incorporate motion graphics and audio is a plus.

Website Design:

  • Assist in the design of the agency's website, ensuring it is visually appealing and user-friendly.
  • Create engaging graphics and visual elements that enhance the user experience.

General Graphic Design:

  • Stay up-to-date on current design trends and tools, bringing a fresh approach to each project.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms and team meetings.
  • Demonstrate a strong, strategic understanding of various marketing platforms, including social media, web, out-of-home, event activations and print.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design with experience at an advertising or a branding agency preferred.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Excellent visual communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for design and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating core principles in visual design, color, typography, and illustration.
  • Skilled at managing a high volume of work within tight timelines.
  • Team-oriented with excellent partnership skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Clear communication skills - verbally, written, and visually.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a readiness to take on various marketing tasks to support the team and business as needed.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with web design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Motion graphics or animation skills.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience working in a media agency environment.
